As part of the ongoing maintenance of city bridge structures, the City of Winnipeg awarded Ernst Hansch Construction Ltd. the contract to complete repairs and replace the joint seals on the Kildonan Bridge spanning the Red River between Henderson Hwy and Main Street.

The existing joint seals, worn through normal wear and tear as well as exposure to the Winnipeg weather conditions, were removed. A process of sand blasting, water jetting and grinding, cleaned and prepared the joints for the installation of the new seals. Specialized equipment was designed and used by Ernst Hansch Construction Ltd. for this project.
