Ernst Hansch Construction Ltd. was the successful general contractor chosen by Suncor Energy to undertake a new Petro-Canada major highway development project. Located just east of Winnipeg, this project consists of a gas bar, convenience store, Petro-Pass Cardlock and a full A&W restaurant as well as a truckers lounge and shower area, weigh scale and water treatment plant and services.

As the general contractor of this project, careful planning and coordination allowed the existing facility to maintain operations while major portions of the new development were being constructed. As a result, the gas bar, convenience store and cardlock were able to move from the old to the new facilities without disruption to their normal business.
